Taco Taqueria in Lake Tahoe (California)

The food was so good and the gentleman who helped us was very hospitable. We stopped for lunch to kill time before check in & I am glad we did. The salsa was very good. They have a hot salsa you have yo ask for that is incredibly tasty. It has a smoky hot flavor. My family ordered nachos, soft beef tacos, a beef burrito, and the carne asada combo plate and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Not authentic Mexican food like they advertise. Really expensive for the type of food. Not worth the money. My daughters got the $5.99 2 taco special and were told it was only for chicken tacos which was whatever but it came with a salad and they said they didn't have dressing just salsa for the "salad"

If I could give it a zero I would. Drive on past do not stop!

Customer service was good but the food was not good at all. The rice was undercooked and the meet had no flavor. Super disappointed. We where a big group so we ordered many different menu items and everyone was not happy with their food. Not giving it one star because the food was edible.

Recived our food super quick, tasted perfect & fresh. Employee's were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed right away. Reasonably priced with excellent service, was very satisfied with our visit.

The place offers a fantastic range of fresh food. I love dining here. Staff members are always super nice, pricing is convenient and the spot is always neat.

Exceptional food. Used to traditional Mexican food from Texas and it was perfect. Staff was very quick in ordering food was generous portions.

Good, authentic food at reasonable prices. This is a very basic place where you order at the counter and it is brought to your table on disposable eater . Friendly and tast .

This little place was excellent. The owners were very friendly and made sure the food was to our expectations. Owner recommend the chorizo breakfast burrito which I will have to try next time I'm in Tahoe.

Sadly to say the food was very disappointing to say the very least. I was looking forward to at least somewhat authentic Mexican food...

Food is great! Ate here 2 times in 1 day. Had a variety of tacos. Flavor is phenomenal- not sure what others have frowned upon. If I could pack this place up and move it with me I would!

I know this is much contested but personally I think Taco Taqueria has the best burritos in town. They are huge, cheap, and delicious, and man their hot salsa is amazing! I have to be honest I haven't tried anything else on their menu, but I definitely recommend those burritos.

Orders were wrong..we all got pork... Carnitas Tacos?... No flavor not shredded not fried.ordered 4 tacos..she delivered a two taco plate....Chili Verde plate? Chewy..No flavor.. stale rice..Boring beans...Gringa Pastor..chewy asked for side guac and side Pico got end guac and forgot Pico..

Considering the location, tacos were decent. Street tacos lacked cilantro. They had Pico de Gallo. The meat for carne asada was boiled and not grilled. Like other reviewers stated ... Meat was plain. Size of tacos were really little. Service was good but could have used a happier more lively welcome.

Worst Mexican food I ever had!!!! Paid too much for burnt rice stale chips salsa just tasted like tomato no flavor at all even the horchata was nasty. Worst 60 dollars spent for 8 tacos a burrito and a Chile relleno.

Small portions and very bland taste. Price is also high for what is being served. Also, food was only a bit warm like it was sitting for a while. Many other choices in the area for a quick bite. Parking is horrible since they share the lot with 7-11.

Ordered their burrito, the size was good, but I found their asada meat to lack flavor. When I went they had run out of carnitas, it was closer to the end of the day. If you're in the area and it is later in the afternoon, be aware that some of their items may have run out.

It's a small restaurant in Lake Tahoe and serves home made Mexican food. I enjoyed my two chicken tacos, beans, Mexican rice and salad.

I don't recommend this place at all. The rice was dry...beans were watery...and my carnitas was so dry, i felt like it was cooked days before. No refills on fruit drinks and soda refills cost extra. They charge for a tiny tray of chips and salsa...guess I'm just use to taquerias in the Bay!

I was under the impression that this was “authentic Mexican food” and it was not. The customer service was okay but it is not authentic Mexican food. I’m currently visiting from out of town and I tried this place because the reviews seemed decent but everyone’s taste in food is different.
